Hi everybody,
Over recent days I saw an advert for IFRS terminology. I should have bookmarked the link. Does anyone have it?
It offered IFRS terminology in multiple languages at a discounted price.
Thanks
Gillian

IAS/IFRS translations also available on the EU site Nov 4

I know you asked specifically about the ad for the terminology tool you mentioned, but I just thought I would let you know that the IAS/IFRS translations are readily available on the EU website from this page:

http://ec.europa.eu/internal_market/accounting/ias/index_en.htm

From here, you can find the consolidated text with all the standards as adopted by the EU in October 2008.

Here is the link to the English language version in HTML format:

http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:L:2008:320:0001:01:EN:HTML

The language code in the link can just be changed for the other available language versions.

So you can use these texts as parallel texts or - even better - align the standards and import them into a TM or use a tool like Xbench to search for terms. This requires some work but if you have a lot of work within the areas of business and finance I think it is well worth the effort.

Edited to add:

For some strange reason the link to the German language version gets corrupted when I try to post it so I deleted it again, but the address is the same as for the English if you just replace EN with DE.
