Spanish term or phrase: Ver empleados de baja, Ver futuras altas
Hi,

I'm currently working on the translation of a set of instructions for a Human Resources Software. I am constantly coming across the terms "baja" and "alta", but I am not entirely satisfied with what I have come up with so far and would appreciate your thoughts/input on this matter.

"See employees on leave" (all leave types comprised: Holiday, Sick leave, Maternity leave, etc.) would be my initial translation for "Ver empleados de baja".
However, for "Ver futuras altas" it's a little more complex as it may refer to people returning from holiday, sick leave, maternity leave, etc. and the best I have come up with so far is "See future returns from leave". It's not very original, but to my knowledge English isn't as "straight to the point" in this case.

Thanks for your help!

English translation:see employees off work, see future returns to work
Explanation:
We have no way of knowing what they mean by "future returns to work" - perhaps the expected return dates - but that's not the translator's problem.

See terminated employees, See prospective recruitments / future admissions/hirings

Explanation:
I suppose it could be what you and Phil are saying, but to me, "bajas" and "altas" doesn't look like people off work and returning. I've usually seen the terms used more in the sense of termination and hiring.

Asker: Thanks Robert. In this particular case it's a software that with the employees entering and leaving the workplace rather than hiring staff.
