Source text - English A randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial with three arms
Recruitment of study subjects.
This trial was performed at Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India.
A total of 250 female patients were assessed for enrolment based on their symptoms, including painful urination.
Thereafter, all the female volunteers were screened based on the inclu-sion/exclusion criteria and sixty female patients were finally selected for the trial.
Female patients in the age group of 18 to 40 years, with a history of painful urination, passing blood in the urine or pain in the suprapubic area, and with a negative pregnancy test were included in the study.
Patients who had taken antibiotics within the previous 48 hours or were catheterized within the previous 2 weeks were excluded from the study.
Patients with diabetes, history of cardiovascular diseases, symptoms of pyelonephritis and stones in the urinary tract (kidney, bladder or ureter) were excluded.
All patients were explained the methods of this study and agreed to participate in this clinical trial by providing written informed consent.

Nábor účastníkov štúdie.
Toto skúšanie sa vykonávalo v meste Anantapur v indickom štáte Ándhrapradéš.
Na zaradenie bolo posúdených vcelku 250 pacientiek podľa ich príznakov vrátane bolesti pri močení.
Následne prešli všetky dobrovoľníčky skríningom na základe kritérií zahrnutia/vylúčenia a pre skúšanie bolo nakoniec vybraných šesťdesiat pacientiek.
Do štúdie boli zahrnuté pacientky vo vekovej skupine od 18 do 40 rokov s anamnézou bolesti pri močení, vylučovania krvi močom alebo bolesti v oblasti nad lonovou kosťou a s negatívnym výsledkom tehotenského testu.
Pacienti, ktorí užili antibiotiká počas predchádzajúcich 48 hodín alebo boli katetrizovaní v priebehu predchádzajúcich 2 týždňov, boli zo štúdie vylúčení.
Pacienti s cukrovkou, anamnézou srdcovo-cievnych ochorení, symptómami pyelonefritídy a kameňmi v močovom ústrojenstve (obličky, močový mechúr alebo močová rúra) boli vylúčení.
Všetkým pacientom boli vysvetlené metódy tejto štúdie a poskytnutím písomného informovaného súhlasu súhlasili s účasťou na tomto klinickom skúšaní.

Usporiadanie intrakraniálneho obsahu je v norme. Signál bielej a šedej hmoty je primeraný. Peri- až paraventrikulárne parietálne bilaterálne vidno ľahké zvýšenie signálu BH, čo je v týchto miestach fyziologické. Patologické expanzie intrakraniálne nie sú prítomné. V priebehu hlavových nervov v zachytenom rozsahu patologické ložiska nevidno. Likvorové priestory sú primerane široké. Stredočiarové štruktúry sú bez presunu.

The arrangement of the intracranial content is within the norm. The white and grey matter signals are appropriate. A slight increase in the white matter signal is visible in the peri- to paraventricular parietal region on both sides, which is physiological in these areas. There are no pathological expansions in the intracranial region. No pathological foci are visible in the displayed area along the cranial nerves. The width of the cerebrospinal fluid spaces is appropriate. There is no shift of the midline structures.

• Ear infections.
• Bacterial meningitis.
