ABOUT
ME

I am an American translator-lawyer living
in Italy and I provide translation, editing proofreading in IT-EN and ES-EN.

My current CV,
references, a sample translation or to take a brief translation test, are available upon your

EXPERIENCE

For over 20 years I have been a practicing lawyer , much of which involved translations from Spanish or Italian to English,
working with Spanish, Latin American and Italian clients in the insurance,
fashion, adult beverage and automotive industries.

Since 2000, I have been translating and editing part-time and in 2015 decided to go full-time as a specialist legal translator.
My regular clients include Morningside Translations, Translations in London, TransPerfect
and ALM Language Services, as well as several large European and North and
South American corporations and government entities. 

I have extensive experience translating
legal documents and general business documents as well as translating clinical
trials, biological patents, media interviews, scientific equipment procedure manuals
as well as ordinary documents such as email and text messages.

ACCURACY
AND SPEED

I pride myself on the premium quality of my
work and consistently deliver high-quality documents, ahead of their
deadlines.  As a contract attorney, my
grammar must be meticulous and consistent, which I believe makes me a good
candidate for your organization.  I also
simply enjoy the work of language services.

My average translation speed is 3,000-4,000 words per day.
My largest translation project completed thus far was for a regular client and was 140,000
words, completed in two weeks. 

I can proofread/edit about 1000 words per hour, on average.

RATES

My translation rate is 0.14 EUR per word with
a premium for “rush” jobs and extensive formatting, etc.  

My rate for editing is 40 EUR per hour or
0.035 EUR per word. 

My normal payment terms are net 30 days
from submission.
