English to German translator with a degree in translation and a focus on video game localisation.

 

Work Experience

2019 – now Freelance Translator
  Working on a wide range of video game genres (among others MMORPG, FPS, RPG, SLG, Adventure, Co-op Adventure, Visual Novel, Simulation, Casual) on all platforms.
2018 – 2018 Internship: German Games Linguist Keywords Intl., Dublin
  Localising mainly mobile games, but also console and PC titles from English to German using memoQ, XTM and Memsource.


Education

2017 – 2019  MA Translation Universität Wien
  Study focus on specialised translation (with introductions to science, humanities, economy and law), CAT tools, localisation and subtitling.
2014 – 2017 BA German and transcultural communication Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz
  A hybrid program between German philology and the basis for translation, in my case with Hungarian as a foreign language. Focus on linguistics, cultural knowledge, text production and literature.
