I have been working as a freelance translator since I started studying Translation & Interpreting Studies at Boğaziçi University (one of the most prestigious universities in Turkey). Through my coursework at university, I had many chances to work on various types of documents in English and Turkish. Also, I took Spanish classes for 4 years and reached an upper-intermediate level. I first started providing translations professionally for Protranslate where I translated and proofread various types of documents in the fields of business, marketing, finance, social sciences so and so forth. Thereafter I started working at AFS Publishing. My responsibilities included preparing, revising, and proofreading sample articles and questions for the students preparing for university entrance exams and composing test preparation books. Later, I worked as a subtitle & dubbing translator for NTV (Doğuş Media) for one and a half years. Here, I worked on some reality series and shows featured in TLC, TV Network. I translated some Turkish Cartoon and Tv series from English to Turkish and the other way around for the world's leading media-services provider, Netflix. In the meantime, I worked as an intern at SDL Turkey for 2 months. I took part in many localization projects there and translated various types of documents, including, engineering, quality, scientific, automative, marketing, medical, legal, and business. In 2018, I started working for Motaword, a NY based localization company. I provided translations in the fields of marketing, business, academic, social sciences so and so forth. Following that, I worked for a PR company, Avantgarde Communication Management PR &Event Organisation & Marketing as a marketing communications associate and translator & interpreter. I provided translations for marketing campaigns, social media campaigns, press releases, and blog posts. Until last month, I had been working as a language instructor at a university in Turkey and currently, I am open to new job opportunities.
