Using memoQ 8.3, I'm trying to figure out how to import a multicolumn bilingual .doc or .docx file. According to memoQ help, take the following steps:
- Select “Import with options” on the drop-down menu under "Import" - Click “Change filter configuration” - Change the Filter setting to “Multilingual delimited text filter” - Check “Simple bilingual configuration” - Indicate which column is the source and which is the target, etc.

However, when I check “"Simple Bilingual Configuration,” “Excel” remains checked, and I cannot uncheck it. Then when I attempt to complete importing the file, I get an error message saying that memoQ was expecting an Excel file. I've tried selecting just about every combination of options available, but nothing seems to work.
