I am keen on taking the advanced test on SDL official site and was wondering if this manual would suffice in order to take the test, or if it at least comprises the required knowledge to make use of the software... I am keen on taking the advanced test on SDL official site and was wondering if this manual would suffice in order to take the test, or if it at least comprises the required knowledge to make use of the software on a regular basis. First of all, you may have noticed that the text in the manual you downloaded is just a sample of the actual manual, which is not free but costs USD 52 (not a big deal anyway). Secondly, what makes you master a software package is not the manual, but the continuous practice on it. Watch all the free tutorials in youtube, attend all the free webinars SDL offers, process the samples which come with the package, etc. Duly do your homework, and in six months to one year from now, you wi... I started working with version 5.5 of Trados (the one with the sailor logo) in 2004. So far, I have translated around 3 million words with it, and nobody has ever asked me for any proof of test completion. Saludos
