I have worked on many video game localization projects before, most current of which were Freaky Awesome and Niffelheim. I am a big video game fan, playing since I was a child. I know video game lingo perfectly and have high knowledge of all genres of video games. I am also an active member of the fighting game community. I often read and hear translations in video games which feel very off, awkward or it seems like the translator ran out of ideas and decided to just roll with it. I find such translations good enough but not superb. They convey the meaning but not the essence. a person, who has been heavily invested in gaming and everything revolving around it, I intend to bring quality to consumers so they do not only understand what the author mean but also feel.

As a gamer myself I know how games work. I know what type of text and messages appeal to the player database. I always start by playing the game a couple of hours before actually doing any translation.
