Gain experience in localization: software and website; voice-over and subtitling.

I have a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science (received Fall 2017) and am currently writing scientific articles in climate science and forestry, so my goal is to become a translator working in that niche. I am hoping to gain experience in translating and gather samples to build my portfolio and resume.

Gaining the necessary experience to start my own freelancing journey.

I am looking to gain an insight into the working practices of a translation firm, where I can more accurately realise the life of the professional translators that work there. I would further relish an opportunity to enhance my translation skills, in which I may also immerse myself in both in the language and culture. Pursuing multiple foreign languages, engaging in University life to the fullest extent, I have developed a useful skill set. I am a highly dependable, passionate individual.

As a fairly inexperienced translator in the professional world, I would like to work on some professional translation to further work on the skills I am learning throughout my current Translation Studies programme.

Ideally, I would like to learn how to manage translation projects, both individually and in teams, and get actual, hands-on experience in translating itself. I believe this would boost my confidence and also give me the tools to work as a freelancer in the future.

I hope to get involved in an internship where I could show my language skills and knowledge. I do not prefer any particular sector because I am fascinated by the techical and specialistic vocabularies of each one, with their different characteristics and usage. I am passionate about discovering new aspects of life, including difficulties and obstacles which can contribute to improve yourself as a worker. Therefore, any type of new experience will be welcomed and carried out through hard work.
