The Atlanta Powwow on Sunday, September 28 was an absolute blast for everyone who attended!! It was held at Nicola’s Lebanese Restaurant on La Vista Rd. near the Toco Hills neighborhood. Nicola’s, which is quite popular among local residents, is named after its owner, Nicola Ayoub, a fun-loving, exuberant Lebanese Zorba who not only cooks most of the dishes served at his restaurant, but dances as well. After a masterful, lovely performance by Ayaat, the belly dancing troupe led by Âya, a highly accomplished Turkish belly dancer, Nicola came out and wasn’t content until every last person in the restaurant was out of his/her chair and dancing. Oh, and by the way, the food was absolutely delicious, even for those who had never tried Lebanese food before. It was a wonderful evening in every way, as you can see from the photos, so we’re definitely doing this again soon!!
