I am a freelancer. I work as a translator and interpreter for the Courts, for lawyers, and for translating agencies, and through the latter in hospitals. I do translations locally, for companies out of town, and also in the USA. My areas of specialization are immigration and refugee matters; materials relating to Family Law; also, the care and treatment of geriatric patients, and relating medical research (including patents and pharmacy). During the past few years I completed a translation of two books, and I am in the process of negotiating the translation of another one; the latter is in the field of education. I use Google and a very good translators' network, also WordFast, that help me to produce satirfactory work. My charges are: .12-.15 cents / word for translating; my hourly fee for editing is $35.00 / hour. Translating is a pleasure for me; I believe it is as creative as any field of art.
