Source text - Vietnamese Những năm gần đây, cam ngơ xuất hiện nhiều. Cam ngơ là cụm từ mà người dân thường xuyên dùng để chỉ chung các hiện tượng quả cam không lớn lên được sau đó vàng, thối và rụng. Đặc biệt trong thời gian có mưa kéo dài, mưa nắng thất thường khiến hiện tượng “cam ngơ” bùng phát và gây rụng hàng loạt. Cam không sử dụng được, vứt đi gây lãng phí lớn. Cam ngơ rụng nhiều gây tắc nghẽn kênh mương, ô nhiễm môi trường.
Trước tình hình đó dự án: “Nghiên cứu phát triển các sản phẩm từ cam ở huyện Con Cuông, tỉnh Nghệ An” đã được thực hiện từ tháng 8 năm 2016 đến tháng 2 năm 2017. Dự án này nằm trong khuôn khổ dự án lớn mang tên “Đa dạng hóa Sinh kế dựa vào Du lịch Di sản tại các làng nông, ngư nghiệp”. Dự án do JICA tài trợ, Viện Nghiên cứu và Phát triển Ngành nghề nông thôn Việt Nam (VIRI) là đơn vị tư vấn.
Translation - English In recent years, citrus greening diseases have appeared quite often. Citrus greening diseases are phenomenon that orange fruit could not grow and ripe and then turn yellow and spoiled. Especially, in a long period of rain or when the weather is constantly changing, citrus greening diseases made successive falling and dying. Orange fruits cannot be used, leading to great waste and possible contamination to the surrounding environment.
With such a situation, “Development research for orange products in Con Cuong District, Nghe An Province” project has been conducted from August 2016 to February 2017. This project is a part of the framework of the “Income diversification based on tourism heritage in agricultural and fishery villages” project. The project is sponsored by JICA, with Vietnam Rural Industries Research and Development Institute as the consultant agency.
