A native English speaker with over 19 years of Spanish language experience.  Lived abroad in both Spain and Mexico.  Gained a first-class BA in Latin American Studies from the University of Essex and currently work in Education. As well as working in Education, I also work as a volunteer translator, translating Latin American loan proposals into English. I have been doing this work since May 2019 and complete at least 20 loan proposals per month.

My academic background is in Humanities and Social Sciences.  I have undertaken studies of contemporary Mexican art and culture and completed a thesis entitled, "Las Mestizas Divinas, An Exploration into the Representation of Mestiza Women in the Yucatán region of México".  I have a keen interest in art and culture as well as sociology and anthropology. As well as having a good knowledge of Latin American culture, I also have a good understanding of Spanish culture as my partner is from Spain and we often visit there.  We also speak Spanish in the household.
