Having a degree in translation from UNESP São José do Rio Preto, I have fluency in Portuguese and English, having done many translations inside and outside the University.
Having studied at FISK for five years, having done a one-month course at the UCLA Extension Center in Riverside in 1996, and another one-month course at an EF school in Santa Barbara in 1998, I also have an experience in the English language for having taught all levels of students for more than six years.
I have experience in several different kinds of tools, such as HTML editors and CAT software, such as Trados, Transit, SDLx, Helium, Dreamweaver, and IBM Translation manager.
On October 9th, 2001, I gave a 6 hour Trados training for around 50 people or more in a large translation university here in Brazil, besides another 5-hour course in São Paulo, in November, 2001, and a two-hour lecture about translation tools with focus on Trados, September 1st, 2003.
Participated in a translation congress hosted by ABRATES, the Brazilian Translation Association in 2013, and also the Abrates Congress in Rio in 2014.
I also participated in the ABRATES Congress in 2015, and associated myself to ABRATES.
I am also an interpreter, having done a specialization course at a PUC-SP a private university here in Brazil.
