PREKANSERÖZ SERVİKAL LEZYON TANISI ALAN HASTALARIN ROY UYUM MODELİNE GÖRE UYUM DURUMLARININ İNCELENMESİ
Amaç: Prekanseröz servikal lezyon tanısı alan hastalar ve eşlerinin Roy Uyum Modeli ile uyumlu/uyumsuz davranışların incelenmesidir.
Yöntem: Araştırma, niteliksel araştırma olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın kavramsal çerçevesini Roy Uyum Modeli oluşturmuştur. Veriler “Birey Tanılama Formu” ve “yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu” kullanılarak “derinlemesine görüşme” yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, prekanseröz servikal lezyonlu hastalar (n: 23) ve eşleri (n:5) oluşturmuştur. Veriler “içerik analizi” ile değerlendirilmiştir.
Bulgular: Araştırma kapsamına alınan hastalar ve eşleri, roy uyum modelinin dört alanında da, uyumlu/uyumsuz davranışlar deneyimlemiştir. Prekanseröz servikal lezyonlu hastaların Roy uyum modeli uyum alanlarına göre yaşadıkları uyumsuz davranışlar; fizyolojik uyum alanında; ağrı, yorgunluk, kanama ve koku problemlerdir. Benlik kavramı alanı; kanser algısı, korku, kendilerini kötü hissetme, beden algısında bozulma ve cinsel yaşamda değişikliklerdir. Rol fonksiyon alanında; annelik rolünün bozulması, tekrar çocuk sahibi olamama korkusu ve iş yaşamının etkilenmesidir. Karşılıklı bağlılık alanında ise; eş ilişkilerinde problem yaşama, sosyal izolasyon ve sosyal ilişkilerinde bozulmayı içermektedir.
Sonuç: Araştırmada Roy uyum modeline göre hastaların deneyimleri açıklanarak tanı sonrası uyum süreci ile ilgili önemli veriler sağlamıştır. Prekanseröz servikal lezyon tanı ve tedavi sürecinde hastaların yanı sıra tüm aile bireylerinin özellikle eşlerin etkilendikleri ifade edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda hastalara ve eşlerine tanı aşamasından itibaren sağlık profesyonellerinin bilgi ve destek sağlaması, bakım ve danışmanlık hizmetlerinin verilmesi hastalar ve eşlerinin birçok olumsuz deneyimlemelerini, uyumsuz davranışlarını önleyebilir ve bu sürecin daha olumlu bir şekilde yönetilmesini kolaylaştırabilir.

Translation - English ABSTRACT
A STUDY OF THE PATIENTS', DIAGNOISED WITH PRECANCEROUS CERVICAL LESION, MODES OF ADAPTATION IN VIEW OF ROY ADAPTATION MODEL
Objective: The objective was to examine the adaptive or ineffective behaviours of the patients diagnoised with precancerous cervical lesion and their spouses with Roy Adaptation Model.
Method: The research was conducted qualitatively. The conceptual framework of the research consisted of Roy Adaptation Model. The data were collected by means of "in-depth interview" method by "individual identification form" and "semi-structured interview form" studies . The research sample consisted of the patients with precancerous cervical lesion (n:23) and their spouses. The data were evaluated with "a content analysis".
Findings: The patients and their spouses, involved in the scope of the research, experienced adaptive or ineffective behaviours in four modes of Roy Adaptation Model. The themes related to patients' with precancerous cervical lesion and their spouses' physiologic- physical mode in Roy Adaptation Model are" Feeling About Self", "Taking Precautions", "Uneasyness". The themes related to self concept mode are "Hope", "Determinist Approach", "Perception of cancer", "Fear", "Self-Orientation" and "Changes in Sexual Life". The themes related to role function mode are "The Ability to Continue to Work", ""The Deterioration of Mother's Role "Fear of Not Being Able to Have A Baby", "Not Doing Her Work As Before". The themes related to interdependence mode are "Getting Social Support", "Having Issues With Their Spouses", "Insufficiency Of Social Support", Social Isolation", "The Need For Information" and "Suggestions For Women".
Result: After a diagnosis, the important data about the adaptation process were obtained from the explanations of the patients' experiences. It was stated that at precancerous cervical lesion diagnosis and treatment process, besides the patients all the family members especially their spouses were affected. In this regard, health professionals should provide patients with information and support, care & counselling services as well. Thus the patients' and spouse's negative experiences, maladaptive behaviours can be prevented.

Hakemlere, makalenin değerlendirmesine zaman harcadıkları ve yapıcı eleştirilerinden dolayı teşekkür ederiz. Hakemlere verdiğimiz yanıtlar ve açıklamalar sırasıyla aşağıda yer almaktadır.
1. Araştırmamızın verilerinin toplanması 31 Haziran 2012’de bitmiştir. Verilerin analizi, bulguların yazımı, makalenin İngilizce olarak hazırlanması yaklaşık bir yıl sürmüştür. Daha sonra makalenin yayınlanması için dergilerde yayın süreci başlamıştır. Yayın sürecinde makalenin değerlendirmesi dergilerin ve hakemlerin yoğunluğuna bağlı olarak 6-12 ay arasında değişmiştir. Bu süreçte hakemlerden gelen eleştiriler doğrultusunda makale üzerinde tekrar çalışılmış ve İngilizcesinin daha anlaşılır olması için American Journal Expert’e edit ettirilmiştir. Bu nedenlerle yayınlanma süreci uzamıştır.
2. Obezite tüm dünyada ve ülkemizde yaygınlığı gittikçe artan küresel bir sorundur. Ülkemizde obezite prevalansı kadınlarda daha yüksektir ve 15-49 yaş grubunda yaklaşık her dört kadından biri obezdir. Obezite ülkemizde geçmişte farklı yörelerde gücün, kudretin, ihtişamın, zenginliğin ve hatta güzelliğin simgesi olmuştur. Ancak, son yıllarda yol açtığı kronik sağlık sorunlarının mali ve ruhsal etkileri giderek daha çok fark edilmeye başlandığından, obezitenin bir hastalık olduğu ve tedavi edilmesi gerektiği kabul edilmektedir. Gebelik ve doğum sonrasında alınan fazla kilolar obezite için önemli bir risk faktörüdür. Some traditional approaches in Turkish culture support gaining weight in pregnancy and the postpartum period. In traditional Turkish culture, the mother is commonly seen as the one who carries “two human beings” and therefore eats more; friends and family will encourage a pregnant woman to eat everything; the puerperant woman eats more in order to have more milk and an excessive intake of carbohydrate-rich foods is encouraged. These incorrect practices make it more difficult to manage weight in pregnancy and the postpartum period. In this context, health professionals play a key role in enabling women to develop and maintain health promoting behaviors in the postpartum period, as well as revealing and improving their potential powers.
Obezite ve postpartum kilo tutulumu dünyada ve ülkemizde gittikçe popülerlik kazanan bu nedenle daha çok merak edilen, konuşulan, okunan, araştırılan bir konudur. Literatürde ülkemizde gebelikte kilo alımına yönelik yapılmış çalışmalar olmasına rağmen, doğum sonrası kilo tutulumu ve etkileyen faktörler ile ilgili yapılan çalışmaya rastlanılmamış olması da araştırmayı önemli yapan diğer bir etkendir. Makalenin birçok araştırmacı tarafından merak edileceği, okunulacağı ve makaleye atıf yapılacağı düşünülmektedir. Bütün bu nedenlerle makale orijinal bir makaledir.

We sincerely thank the reviewers for their time spent on evaluating the article and their positive comments. Below are the answers and the explanations we presented for the reviewers. The data collection of our research has been done in June 31, 2017.
The data analysis, writing findings and the English translation of the article has taken roughly one year. The publishing process in journals has been started to get published our research. The evaluation process of our research has taken between six and twelve months regarding whether the journals and the reviewers' availability. In the process, we have revised the article in accordance with the suggestions of the reviewers and the article has been edited by American Journal Expert to be more understandable in English. That's why the publishing process has extended. Obesity is a global problem which has been spreading worldwide and in our country Obesity prevalence is higher in women in our country and nearly one in every four women among aged between 15- 49 is obese.

However, for the reason that the financial and emotional effects of the chronical health problems caused by obesity have received more and more attention in recent years, obesity has been called as a disease and it has to be treated. It is thought that the article is likely to be wondered and read by many researchers and referred to .That's why this is an orijinal article.

I am Ceyda Çelik, a Turkish native speaker with 8 years of experience working in subtitling and work as a subtitle translator. I graduated from English Language and Literature in Ege University, a prestigious one in Turkey.
