After completing a BA with majors in legal theory and English I worked as a journalist in South Africa. Later I worked in Germany, studying German at the Goethe Institute and working as as Bonn-based correspondent. Throughout, I learned the basics of writing in clear, understandable text. Simultaneously, I acquired a broad knowledge of technical, legal, environmental and business issues.

In Bonn I reported for US business publications on business, industrial and energy issues. Later I edited energy production and market newsletters in the UK, traveling frequently to the German-speaking countries for interviews and conferences.

From 1983-90 I worked on a kibbutz near the Lebanese border - still my home today - in agriculture and biotech. Then I wrote for - and edited - several Israeli-based business and high-tech journals, focusing especially on IT, telecom ecology and agro-technology. In 2000 I changed professions, exploiting the added value of 30 years of accumulated know-how and editing experience.
