Bio
Dr. Dimitra Anastasiou has been working as a freelance sworn translator since 2006 for the languages English/German/Greek. She has a university degree from the Department of "Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting" in Greece and a PhD from the University of Saarland on the topic of "Idiom Experiments in Machine Translation".
She worked as a researcher in the departments of Languages and Literary Studies and Computer Science at the University of Bremen and at the Localisation Research Centre in the Centre for Next Generation of Localisation project. In the last years she has been teaching 'Translation Technology', 'Machine Translation', 'Localisation Tools and Technology', 'Computational Linguistics Methods', and supervising BA, MA, and PhD students.
