When I am extracting text from a PageMaker 7 document, I am getting an error message "Attempt to select an invalid object", once it reaches the page with the table of contents, after which Story Collector closes. Please help

Have you tried exporting the text as a Pagemaker tagged .txt document? You could then translate it using TagEditor. I imagine the problem is caused by the index function used to produce the text you mention (it's already automated in Pagemaker 6.5).

Thank you, Mauricio. But how could the text be exported as a txt file? I always use Story Collector for this...
