I haven't voted as none of the answers applies Apr 21, 2006

There should be an option like: No, but I would be interested in trying/I will use it in the near future.

Because that's precisely my situation, but so far I haven't had any free time to "invest" in it

A nice (working) weekend for all

"Not yet" would have been appropriate. Apr 22, 2006

I agree with Mariana. I know about directory text ads; I have not used them; I am NOT "not interested." Just haven't done anything about it yet. Hey, it took me a year to get around to "going platinum"!

I've tried them... Apr 22, 2006

I've no concrete evidence that it has led to any work for me though. It is probably good for raising your profile in searches, but that's all.

Hi Jo, and all the others who, like me, did not know what text ads were, please take a look here:

Thanks to this poll, now I know

Best regards,
Saskia

I had a whole bunch of Browniz (from entering glossaries) so I decided to set up a directory text ad many months ago, but I can't say that I have noticed any change - no new clients referring to this ad, no bigger projects etc.

The idea itself is maybe all right, but we need to make the ads more visible.

Erik

What ad???????

I concur fully with Erik.

It might be an idea - if possible - to indicate in the 'Came from' column of the visitors section whether the ad was clicked on?

Cheers
Chris

Good point Apr 23, 2006

How else could we ever know it?
