Bio: Marek Buchtel is a freelance translator (English/Czech) with more than 15 years of experience in the industry. He specializes in business, legal and IT translations as well as website/software localizations.

In addition to translating, Marek provides workshops and trainings on topics related to increasing productivity of translators. He majored in information technology at the University of Economics in Prague, Czech Republic, and studied English/Czech translation and interpreting at the Institute of Translation Studies – Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. He’s the coordinator of the team working on the Czech localization of ProZ.com. Marek lives in Prague.
