My name is Nigar Mancini. I am a full-time freelance translator, a professional one! *With Bachelor's Degree in "Translation and Interpreting" and "Pedagogy & English Teaching" from Hacettepe University.
*With Master's Degree in Business Management from Harvard Business School.

You have already seen some basic information about my professional qualifications above, so I don't intend to bore you with the same details. Here I'd like to communicate with you About Me.

Why Translation?
I was always so sure to work in foreign language, even during the initial years of my educational life.
Then I chose to move up my career in this sector and I furthered my education in Translation & Interpreting at Hacettepe University, which is the leading university in this field in Turkey.
In the course of university years I've learned how to approach to a text, how to analyze it and how to transfer it to the target language. A good translator is the one who can distinguish a technical text from a medical one; a good translator must always keep in mind the target reader and must never forget that his role is to provide communication, to provide information, to provide connection between two cultures.
This role of the translator has always made me more and more proud of my profession. I feel deeply the importance of my role! And there is not even one second that I don't "smell" the great responsibility of it.

In my mind it is very clear; I can not make mistakes!


Some Highlights
After my university education on Translation, I completed Business Management Program of Harvard Business School; firstly in order to manage my business in the best way, then to manage in the same way also yours.

I have received professional trainings on Marketing & Sales, Foreign Trade, Logistics, International Transport, etc.; you can find all information in details in my CV that I'll send you immediately upon request.

I have taken part in many projects of European Union, thus I have a great terminology and knowledge background in many fields under this scope (I have to admit that studying on European Union, International Organizations and their structures every year at university has contributed so much to my specialization).

As you can see above I'm using CAT Tools (all are licensed and professional) in parallel to the needs of my clients; today, these tools have already taken their undeniable place in our job; they provide consistency, accuracy and velocity in translation and it is highly important to have an excellent command on them in addition to an excellent command on language and terminology.

What kind of translations I do?
Of course I studied on all kinds of translations throughout my graduate education and every translation gives a different and unique joy to me.

As a consequence of globalization and commercial flow all over the world, I'm engaged principally with various kinds of business documents; marketing texts, market researches, corporational contracts, websites / brochures of the companies, product&service introductions, commercial documents, and many other.

Again under this influence a big part of this sector is occupied with manuals, technical and industrial translations; which goes a long way in my job as well (automotive, industrial equipmants, machines & mechanical engineering, electrical equipments, electronics, etc.)

I translate & localize websites and softwares.

I perform Desktop Publishing projects.

I'm specialized in wide range of fields but I never commit to do a translation beyond my expertise! Importance of Terminology
Using industry specific vocabulary, terminology and language is a MUST in my work!
I have a wide library of specific terminologies that I 've collected and created in years of my educational and professional life, which is growing even more every single day with every single project.

Besides using industry-based terminology, I also undertake the responsibility of providing terminology assistence to my clients.

How I work?
I'm a FULL-TIME translator!
I work on daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis in project management.
My pre-translation phase includes field and terminology research, review of other documents on the same subject and preparation all kinds of sources that I may refer to.
I TRANSLATE, DOUBLE-CHECK and DELIVER the translation ALWAYS before DEADLINE.
Keeping a constant contact with my customer and being always accessible are very important for me, since I believe establishing good relations with the customer and being easily reachable gives confidence to both sides, which forms the factor of utmost importance in collaboration.
