Antincrostante/disincrostante The difference between "antincrostante" and "disincrostante" may be that the former is preventive and the latter is for when the damage is already done. My glossaries give "scale-inhibitor/inhibiting", "antifouling agent/coating" (for ships, I presume) for the former and "descaling (agent)", "scale remover", and "descaler" for the latter. "Anti-scaling compound" appears under "disincrostante" though it does sound suitable for "antincrostante" to my non-expert ears. Ditto "Scale-control products", though I think I might go for "scale inhibitor". ciao - s
