In English these shares are called "preference shares" or "preferred stock" while in Italian they are sometimes called "azioni privilegiate" this is because they enjoy privileges and preferential treatment. In some cases these privileges include an "additional dividend" others include a fixed dividend and payment before the ordinary shareholders.
You wouldn't say they received a "privilege/preference equal to 5% of the ordinary dividend", you would say an "additional dividend"

I realise now I should have added that these are savings shares that are to be converted into ordinary shares.
