"fraværende" can ofted be used to mean "absent-minded", but here it could also be "distracted" or "preoccupied", or "distracts"

Usually "absent" but could also mean "absent/minded" depending on context.

Tak Finn! And I agree, context is important if we are to suggest something "clever", other than what you can find in the dictionaries!
