Dutch term

rekeningbevoegde

Dutch to English Law/Patents Energy / Power Generation Register Energie voor Vervoer (REV)
Can anyone help me with this? Am working on a very large job, and could use a bit of help here.

some context (not mine, but the same in meaning):

‘Gebruikersrollen REV

Discussion

Richard Purdom Apr 23, 2019:
SAP uses Approver for a role, not really a job description. I'm going to propose ledger clerk, as someone who enters records. I reckon account auditor would be OK for fiatteur
Marijke Singer Apr 23, 2019:
Approver I think (in English) it does not really matter what position the person actually holds in the company. One of his/her duties is to be the first approver after which the second approver again 'approves' (or rejects). This is what software packages such as SAP uses.
Richard Purdom Apr 23, 2019:
'Approver' sounds weird, isn't this person a supervisor? and an account manager doesn't muck around with figures, but maintains the client relationship
Michael Beijer (asker) Apr 22, 2019:
hmm just found this:

‘Registry user roles

The Energy for Transport Registry (REV: Register Energie voor Vervoer) distinguishes between two different user roles: the account representative and the approver.’

(https://www.emissionsauthority.nl/topics/registry---energy-f... )

thus (?):

rekeningbevoegde = account representative
fiatteur = approver
Michael Beijer (asker) Apr 22, 2019:
account authorised person is what I've made of it so far

authorised account representative

I'd probably stick to the terminology used in the following document: https://www.emissionsauthority.nl/binaries/dutch-emissions-a...

Or use 'authorised account representative' the first time and then continue with 'account representative' for short (as already found/suggested by yourself) if the term frequently recurs.
Note from asker:
Thanks Kitty, that's what I ended up doing in the end. I also realised I still had an end client glossary on my PC (for another translation agency) for this exact client, which had: rekeningbevoegde = account representative fiatteur = approver ... and ... quite a lot of other, very specific terminology, like: uitslag = taxed delivery (ongebruikelijk als losse term) uitslag tot verbruik (UTV) = taxed delivery for transport use aantal uitslagen tot gebruik = number of taxed delivery for transport use levering tot eindverbruik (LtE) = taxed delivery for transport use inboeken = to claim (delivery of renewable energy to..) / to claim inboeking = a claim (of delivery of renewable energy..); use claim for the website (maybe useful to future googlers)

first (level) approver

I think you can use first (level) approver and second (level) approver.

authorised account manager

rekeningbevoegde = account representative (who is authorised to manage the specified account)
fiatteur = approver (an optional second person who ratifies, confirms or sanctions the changes/input made by the account representative)

Ledger clerk

I'm not what extent this can be used in a non-financial context, hence low confidence

Veel vertaalde voorbeeldzinnen bevatten "authorized account holder" – Engels-Nederlands woordenboek en ... Inhoud (hierna: de 'bevoegde rekeninghouder').
