Dutch term

BINTASTER VERIBOR Z MEETKL

Dutch to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
No context, just a list od tools and accesories. The customer is Dutch, my text is, I think, a translation from Dutch into English, but very often with Dutch terms left ;(

Testmeetklokken As I said, the manufacturer is Tesa, not Veribor... I found Testmeetklokken and I was directed to Tesa Web site....

Untranslatable in my humble opinion. Even sounds rather Czech to me. I'd leave it as is.

Could be different things: (again according to Kluwer)

meetklem: test terminal
meetklep: measuring valve
meetklok: clock gauge

without any further context, it would be hard to say which one is correct here
You could try and go for a general 'measuring device' if you can't find out what the 'kl' stands for here.

disagree Jack den Haan : A commendable effort Gert, but personally I would consider it as irresponsible to even attempt the translation of such a term. You could even get sued for it if it's wrong ;-)

I totally agree, this is definitely sth you have to point out to the client, but at least you can suggest sth to him, and then it is his responsibility to accept the translation or find out himself what it stands for.
