Dutch term

buiten rechte ontbinden

Dutch to English Law/Patents Other
As in the sentence:

.......heeft het recht de overeenkomst direct buiten rechte te ontbinden.

I take it means annuling the agreement but without going to court ?
There are a few Google hits for "extra-judicial annulment" and "out-of-court annulment" but too few to be confident. Anybody know what the correct phrase is ?

Thanks for the reference Thanks for the reference to this lexicon which I am taking on a free 30-day online test - it looks good so far. It translates this phrase as "termination ... with the intervention of the courts" which is more or less what we have all suggested.
