English term

assonance

GBK English to Bulgarian Art/Literary Poetry & Literature
Definition from The Poetry Archive :
Assonance is the repetition of vowel sounds in words that are close to each other - this also includes diphthongs. Like alliteration, it is the sound rather than the letter used that is important.
Example sentences:
The Greeks occasionally employed assonance for the sake of its aesthetic effect but took no pains to avoid it when no effect was intended, even when the repetition of sound seems to us displeasing. (Answers.com)
While the bling of rhyme and meter are exciting, sometimes what a poem needs is the soft power of assonance. (The Fix)
In more modern verse, stressed assonance has become the main literary device in modern rap, starting with gangsta rap like 2Pac in the 1990s, departing from rap's foundations in the 80's rapper like Slick Rick when rhyme at the end of each line was the cornerstone of poetic expression. (Wikipedia)

Definition from Wikipedia:
Example sentences:
(slovo.bg)
(myschoolbell)

I think you'll find that these are probably some kind of expansion joint in the underlying concrete support — obviously, the tiler needs to put corresponding joints in the tiling, which they seem not to have done. Whichever words you use for 'support' and 'joint', I think to make it clear you need to express it as 'the [joints] in the [support]' Note that in the FR, both nouns have a def. article, implying it is referring to specific ones.
See page 22-23 of this publication where it explains the different types of "joints du support" in French https://issuu.com/e-weber/docs/brochure_sols_weber_2016/23 I think this would probably be something like "joints in the substrate" as Tony has mentioned

Thanks to you all for the explanations. In the end I put "support expansion joints". I can't see any way of awarding points so I close without grading.
