This is just a part of a manual for software to control cameras installed at separate locations. I think I do not have to give out further cotext as the sentence is self-explanatory, but I'm not so sure of the meaning of "cros-side". I do not suppose the author is a native English speaker, but possibly a German. Could anyone clarify?
Thank you.

Comment: "Thank you very much, I think it's probably not a very common term to be used in English. meanwhile, I went with interpretation of its being placed side-by-side. Thank you for help! -"
