I need some help to translate term.

Context:
XXX’s Well Management division reached a milestone of 400 wells in 10 years and in the two years’ since that achievement, that figure has risen to over 480 wells.
We have simultaneously operated as many as 13 rig-strings worldwide.
XXX’s expertise includes onshore and offshore, Deepwater, HPHT, extended reach, horizontal wells, exploration, production and appraisal wells, wildcat, underbalanced drilling, remote locations and operations in many environmentally sensitive areas.
I need some help to translate term.

Acho que aqui, apesar das palavras escolhidas, está se referindo às sondas, não às colunas. Não resta dúvida que string normalmente é coluna, mas não me parece normal "já operamos até 13 colunas simultaneamente em todo o mundo".
Na verdade acho que quis dizer as duas coisas, o que não seria muito natural em português: sondas/colunas. Para mim, sondas já diz tudo.
PLATAFORMAS é uma opção, mas nem toda sonda é uma plataforma. Por isso prefiro o termo mais genérico, que é SONDA.
