is it "distributed money" or "hand out" money? this is a money politics case that occurs after a meeting where someone gives money maybe in envelope to the lawmakers on certain deal

“That is why we are urging the minister to make a clarification whether he has distributed money as much as Rp 10 million to each lawmaker in the House of Representatives’ Commission VI under his order? If so, we would be very disappointed, because it’s not a long ago that the minister, the management of the ministry, and SOE Watch have made a pledge to eradicate corruption, collusion and nepotism,” he affirmed.

Naldy added that after the closed meeting in the commission V room, on 16 March 2005, state minister of SOEs was strongly alleged to have distributed money as much as Rp 10 million for each lawmaker present in the meeting. However, the lawmakers who were not there also got the money.

It is said that the ten million rupiah being given to each lawmaker is intended for an agreement that a few have been aware of it.

agree Mools : To the point. Backhander, bribe or boodle, it all comes out in the wash - unless it's properly laundered ;-)

neutral Robert Donahue (X) : I think you need to expand this Rebekah. As in,."urging the Minister to clarify whether he paid bribes of up to..." Paid all by itself has a tinge of legitimacy. Those of us who work get paid.
