Die Inventurkalkulation wird im Rahmen der Bilanzbewertung zum Jahresabschluss verwendet. Sie dient der Ermittlung von Herstellkosten nach Rechnungslegungsvorschriften im Rahmen des Niederstwert- Ermittlungsverfahrens im Jahresabschluss. Bestandes an Roh-, Hilfs- und Betriebsstoffen, sowie Halb- und Fertigfabrikaten.
Es ist ein FI/CO Finance / Controlling Dokument, dem SAP Anwendungen zugrunde gelegt werden sollen; also Controlling mithilfe des SAP Moduls CO.

but the SAP manual may have some wonderful Denglish phrasing for this.
What appears to be happening here is that, rather than resulting in entries for an item-by-item remeasurement of inventories of paw materials, consumables and supplies and finished and unfinished goods, the system makes a single (lump sum/pauschal) entry to adjust the carrying amount of these inventories.
