German term

Hilfsschalter

German to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial Electrical switchgear
Context "integrierte Hilfsschalter und Überspannungsschutz"

A compact starter unit- I'm inclined to think "Hilfsschalter" here might mean "reset" switch. It has been previously translated as "auxiliary switch" but I'm not very happy with that. Any comments, anyone.

Thank you-

secondary / supplementary switch or contact

Just some more options that come to mind. I guess it depends on what the Hilfsschalter is used for. If it's just there for arbitrary use, I wouldn't use specific terms like back-up, stand-by, emergency, etc.
