German term

Kinderspruch

German to English Art/Literary Folklore Austrian fairy tales
This is from the bibliographical information for the collection of Austrian fairy tales. I gather from the web that it means something like "the things kids say" but is there a more technical term for that in English?

This is what it looks like to me. Like "Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water ...."

agree Thomas Pfann : Just wanted to say the same - I think that's exactly what's meant by 'Kinderspruch' here - Kinderreime (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinderreim)
