To be sure about the "proper name of the document", one would need to know something about the document. You've told us nothing. As the answers and comments below indicate, there are several options that may be correct in slightly different circumstances.

neutral Ian M-H (X) : This is correct, the term is now used in UK employment law to include what used to be separate types of temporary contract (including "specific task" and "future event" contracts), but plain "temporary contract of employment" might still be safer.

I agree with Radu's answer. Here's just some useful information.

A contract of employment may be concluded either as a fixed-term contract (befristeter Arbeitsvertrag) or as a contract of unspecified duration (unbefristeter Arbeitsvertrag). In the former case, the end of the employment relationship is established contractually by reference either to a particular date or to a circumstance which will occur in the future and for which it is known that it will occur during an identifiable period. In the second case, no specified time is agreed for the termination of the contract. The employment relationship created by the contract will therefore not come to an end as a result of the passage of time but, as a rule, through the effect of one of the parties giving notice of intent to end this legal relationship, referred to as unilateral termination.

agree Ian M-H (X) : Given this, I won't enter a separate plea for "temporary contract" as a safer alternative in English IMO that also covers "specific task" contracts (e.g. cover for someone on maternity leave or long-term sick leave).
