German term

erforderliche SAR-Raumspitze 10 W/kg

German to English Marketing Telecom(munications) Handfunkgeraet
I´ve got one for the cellular technology experts out there...

I have no idea what this means, nor can I find any reference.

SAR refers to "Specific Absorption Rate" which is described as "A measure of the rate at which RF energy is absorbed by the body"

This is from a technical specifications data sheet and the whole section looks like this:

SAR (Specific Absorption Rate)
ENV. 50.155-2 . . . . . . . . . . . . . Niveau «Workers»,
durchschnittl. Gewicht 10 g,
durchschnittl. Zeit 6 min.,
***erforderliche SAR-Raumspitze 10 W/kg**

The only thing I found for "Raumspitze" is "room height" in an architectural context, but I doubt this is it. And what does W/kg refer to.

Thanks for your help!!!
Proposed translations (English)

Thanks Thomas,
you're a real life saver. Since you seem to know what you are talking about. Could you let me know if the rest of the section is correct like this:
SAR (Specific Absorption Rate)
ENV. 50.155-2 ...................... level Workers,
average weight 10 g,
average time 6 minutes,
required SAR room/field peak 10 W/kg

I am not quite sure if Zeit refers to "time" or "duration".

Thank you very much!!

SAR room/field peak 10 W/kg

agree Ken Cox : Almost agree: I think 'SAR spatial peak" is the usual term (145 google hits in combination with SAR and field, versus 0 for 'room/field peak' in combination with SAR).
