"getting deep into business" is perfect English! It means "to be more involved" but I believe that it is about the sales not a general chew about company's experience. So, the words"гибкому подходу к бизнесу в сложных экономических условиях" - should not confuse you.

What in the name of Zeus do they mean? Is it related to sales? Business acumen? Any ideas?

selling tours well in advance

Ali, "advance sales" is a standard term, but in your case it has a little bit more meaning to it, i.e. meaning that they sell the tours not a week or a month in advance, but a whole season in advance, for instance. The more in advance the sale is made, the greater "depth of sales" they report. That's how I understand it.
