When circulating details of nominees put forward for appointment of parents’ representatives on a board, Boards of Management should exercise vigilance and be aware of their obligations arising from the Data Protection Act, 1988 and 2003 and the need to ensure full compliance with the Act in relation to the collection, use and disclosure of any processed personal data. As the responsibility for interpreting and observing the Act rests with each individual school, institution or education body, these bodies should familiarise themselves fully with the provisions of the Act.
The Act is designed to protect the privacy of individuals with regard to automated personal data and to give effect to this country to the Council of Europe Convention of the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Automatic Processing of Personal Data (1981).

بورڈ میں والدین کی نمائندگان کی حیثیت سے تقرری کیلئے نامزدگان کی معلومات اور کوائف کی ترویج کے وقت بورڈز آف مینجمنٹ کو ہوشمندی و ہوشیاری کا مظاہرہ کرنا چاہئے، ڈیٹا پروٹیکشن ایکٹ 1988 اور 2003 سے ظہور پذیر ہونے والی اپنی ذمہ داریوں سے باخبر رہنا چاہئے اور کسی قسم کی بھی استعمال شدہ ذاتی معلومات کی تحصیل، استعمال اور تشہیر کے بارے میں ایکٹ کی مکمل تعمیل کو یقینی بنانے کی ضرورت سے آگاہ رہنا چاہئے۔ چونکہ ایکٹ کو سمجھنے اور اس پر عمل پیرا ہونے کی ذمہ داری ہر سکول، محکمے یا تعلیمی ادارے پر انفرادی طور پر عائد ہوتی ھے، اس لئے ان اداروں کو چاہئے کہ وہ ایکٹ کی تمام شقوں سے اچھی طرح واقفیت حاصل کریں۔
خودکار نظام سے اکٹھا ہونے والی ذاتی معلومات (کی حساسیت) کو مدِ نظر رکھتے ہوئے ایکٹ کو افراد کی نجی تفاصیل کی حفاظت اور اس ملک کو آٹومیٹک پراسیسنگ آف پرسنل ڈیٹا (1981) (مشینوں اور کمپیوٹرز کے استعمال سے اکٹھا ہونے والی معلومات) کے حوالے سے یورپی کاؤنسل کی افراد کی حفاظت کے بارے میں طے پانی والی قرارداد کیلئے مؤثر اور فعال بنانے کیلئے ترتیب دیا جاتا ھے۔

The purpose of this document is to establish a framework for the effective partnership between the Parents’ Association (PA) and the school in line with the Education Act 1998. This framework has been jointly developed by the National Parents’ Council - Primary (NPC-P) and the Irish Primary Principals’ Network (IPPN). The document supports an ethos of transparency and openness between all members of the school community.
Where effective partnership exists between home and school, the benefits are clear:
children learn more, behave better and are happier at school
teachers are more effective when they are supported by parents.
In addition, where there is an effective PA in the school:
parents can enjoy the support of other parents
parents are enabled to meaningfully support the aims of the school.

اس دستاویز کا مقصد ایجوکیشن ایکٹ 1998 کے مطابق والدین کی تنظیم اور سکول کے درمیان مؤثر شراکت کیلئے بنیادی ڈھانچہ تشکیل دینا ھے۔ اس بنیادی ڈھانچے کو نیشنل پیرنٹس کاؤنسل پرائمری (NPC-P) اور آئرش پرائمری پرنسپلز نیٹ ورک (IPPN) نے مل کر وضع کیا ھے۔ یہ دستاویز سکول کمیونٹی کے تمام اراکین کے مابین شفافیت اور دیانتداری کی سماجی اخلاقیات کی حمایت کرتی ھے۔
جہاں کہیں گھر اور سکول کے درمیان مؤثر شراکت موجود ہو وہاں فوائد صاف واضح ہیں:
بچے زیادہ سیکھتے ہیں، تمیز داری کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہیں اور سکول میں نسبتاً زیادہ خوش رہتے ہیں۔

The purpose of this note is to inform you that new legislation governing protection applications in the State called the Immigration, Residence and Protection Bill 2008, is being considered by the Houses of the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament) at the present time. It is proposed that the new legislation once enacted and in operation will replace the Refugee Act,
1996 and introduce new arrangements for the processing of protection applications in Ireland.

اس نوٹ کا مقصد آپ کو یہ اطلاع دینا ھے کہ ریاست میں تحفظ کیلئے دی گئی درخواستوں سے متعلق ایک نیا قانون ''امیگریشن، رہائش اور تحفظ کا بِل ۲۰۰۸ اس وقت آئرلینڈ کی پارلیمنٹ میں زیرِ غور ھے۔ یہ تجویز کیا گیا ھے کہ اس قانون کے نفاذ اور اس پر عمل درآمد شروع ہونے کے بعد یہ پناہ گزین ایکٹ ۱۹۹۶ کی جگہ لے لیگا اور آئرلینڈ میں تحفظ سے متعلق درخواستوں پر عمل درآمد کیلئے نئے انتظامات متعارف کروائے گا۔ |

ملک کی سلامتی و بقا شدید خطرے میں ھے اور پوری دنیا چلا چلا کر کہہ رہی ھے کہ پاکستان چند مہینوں میں ٹوٹ جائے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ معاہدہ امن کی خلاف ورزی کرتے ہوئے طالبان نے سوات، بونیر اور دیگر شمالی علاقوں میں اپنے مورچے بنا لئے ہیں اور ان علاقوں کی انتظامیہ طالبان کے خوف کے باعث اپنے اپنے علاقوں سے غائب ھے۔ جبکہ متحدہ قومی موومنٹ کے قائد الطاف حسین نے وفاقی وزیر داخلہ رحمان ملک سے ٹیلیفون پر رابطہ کر کے انہیں تیسر ٹاؤن میں مسیحی برادری کی آبادی پر طالبان کے مسلح حملے ، گھروں میں لوٹ مار اور خواتین کی بے حرمتی کے واقعات کی تفصیلات سے آگاہ کیا۔ الطاف حسین نے رحمان ملک سے کہا کہ تیسر ٹاؤن کے واقعہ کا فوری نوٹس لیتے ہوئے حملہ آور دہشت گردوں کے خلاف سخت کاروائی کی جائے اور مسیحی برادری سمیت تمام اقلیتوں کی جان و مال، عزت و آبرو اور عبادت گاہوں کے تحفظ کیلئے ہنگامی بنیادوں پر ٹھوس اور عملی اقدامات کئے جائیں۔ رحمان ملک نے الطاف حسین کو یقین دلایا کہ اس واقعہ میں ملوث دہشت گردوں کے خلاف سخت کاروائی کی جائے گی اور عیسائی برادری کی جان و مال کے تحفظ کیلئے تمام اقدامات کئے جائیں گے۔ دریں اثناء وزیر اعظم سید یوسف رضا گیلانی نے کہا ھے کہ صوفی محمد کے بیانات ان کی ذاتی رائے ہیں، بلوچ عوام کی محرومیوں کو جلد ختم کر دیں گے۔ وزیر اعظم نے اسلام آباد میں صحافیوں سے بات چیت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ حکومت کی پوری کوشش ھے کہ جلد سے جلد بلوچ عوام کے احساس محرومی کو ختم کر دے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بلوچ رہنماؤں کے قتل سے علاقے میں بے یقینی کی فضا قائم ہو گئی تاہم بلوچ عوام مایوس نہ ہوں حکومت ان کے مسائل کو جلد حل کرنے کی کوشش کر رہی ھے۔ مولانا صوفی محمد کے بیانات کے حوالے سے پوچھے گئے ایک سوال پر وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ صوفی محمد کے بیانات ان کی ذاتی آراء ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ سوات معاہدہ سرحد حکومت اور وفاقی حکومت کے بعد صدر مملکت نے بھی منظور کیا ھے اور یہ ایک مشترکہ فیصلہ ھے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس معاہدہ کا مقصد سوات کے علاقے میں امن قائم کرنا ھے۔ وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ ہم ملک کے خیر خواہ ہیں اور ملک کی ترقی اور خوشحالی کیلئے کام کر رہے ہیں۔ سوات معاہدہ صوبہ سرحد کے عوام کے فیصلے کے مطابق کیا گیا ھے۔ | Translation - English
‘The country’s integrity and existence is in serious danger and the whole world is shouting out that Pakistan will break in a few months.’ He said that the Taliban had violated the peace agreement and dug trenches in Swat, Bonair and other northern areas and the administrations had disappeared from their respective jurisdictions for fear of the Taliban. Mr. Altaf Hussain, leader of the Muttahidda Qaumi Movement, contacted the Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on telephone and informed him of the details about the armed Taliban attacks on the Christian community in Taiser Town and incidents of houses being looted and women being ill-treated. Altaf Hussain asked Rehman Malik to take immediate notice of the Taiser Town incident and take strict action against the attacker terrorists and that concrete and practical measures should be taken with immediate effect for the protection of lives, properties, honour and places of worship of all minorities including Christians. Rehman Malik assured Altaf Hussain that strict action would be taken against the terrorists involved in the said incident and all measures would be taken for the protection of lives and properties of Christian brethren. In the meanwhile Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that Sufi Muhammad’s statements were his personal opinion and the deprivations of Baloch people would soon be brought to an end. The Prime Minister said while talking to the reporters in Islamabad that the government was trying its best to kill the Baloch people’s sense of deprivation as soon as possible. He said that the murder of Baloch leaders had created an atmosphere of uncertainty in the area but Baloch people should not get disappointed as the government was trying to solve those problems as soon as possible. The Prime Minister said in answer to a question asked about Sufi Muhammad’s statements that Sufi Muhammad’s statements were his personal opinions. He said that the President of the State approved of the Swat Agreement after the Sarhad [North-West Frontier Province] and Federal governments and it was a unanimous decision. He said that the purpose of the agreement was to set up peace in the area of Swat. The Prime Minister said that they were well-wishers of the country, were working for the progress and prosperity of the country and the Swat Agreement had been signed according to the decision of the people of the Sarhad province. |
