• Asthma is very common. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention currently estimate that 31.3 million people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with this lung disease; more than a third of them are children under the age of 18.
• Asthma can be a serious, life-threatening disease if not properly managed.
• Breathing problems caused by asthma (including coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and tightness in the chest) are called flare-ups (or attacks). What causes a flare-up? These symptoms are usually started, or triggered, by something that irritates the lungs, such as pollen, mold, smoke, or catching a cold.
• You need to manage your asthma every day. This is true even if your symptoms are mild. With your physician's help, you can control your asthma and become free of symptoms most of the time. But asthma does not go away when your symptoms do.

Estos síntomas generalmente aparecen o se desencadenan cuando algún agente provoca irritación en los pulmones; como por ejemplo: polen, moho, humo o un resfriado común.
• Necesita controlar el asma todos los días. Esto es así aunque los síntomas sean leves. Con la ayuda de su médico, puede controlar el asma y no tener síntomas casi nunca. Pero el asma no desaparece aunque desaparezcan los síntomas.

I am an English > Spanish certified translator, reviewer and proofreader.
I graduated as a Scientific, Technical and Literary Translator in the English language in 2004. I started working as a translator, editor and proofreader in 2007 and since then, I have collaborated with several clients, both from Argentina and abroad. I also have many years' in-house translation experience working for one of the most influential translation companies in Argentina.
I have a good command of localization and CAT tools like Trados Studio, Memsource, MemoQ, Wordfast Pro, among others.
