I have been working as a translator for a number of years and have been using ProZ.com as an aid on numerous occasions. I came to the point of considering myself completely hooked on it. It made my life easier when in desperate need of immediate consultation. It is easy to use and gives you immediate response when certain translation-related issues arise and need to be promptly addressed. It gives me the opportunity to interrelate with others that are in the same field and exchange ideas and ask questions to a panel of experts which in most occasions give me real-time feedback. ProZ.com can also be considered an excellent channel for getting to know potential clients and establish new working relationships that may significantly increase your chances of consolidating new contracts. It’s a great place to share your knowhow with others while at the same time benefiting yourself from the experience of others. This site is a must for anyone who intends pursuing this line of profession.

I was able to become a full-time freelance translator with clients met through ProZ.com. It was the start to my new life and I haven't looked back since!

I was very skeptical when I joined ProZ.com in December of last year, but a friend/colleague convinced me, and I have to say that being a member really pays! I have found 4 or 5 new clients in just 5 months of membership.

While I have been part of the community for more than five years, I just became a member last month. I cannot believe how many contacts I have made since becoming a (paying) member... I have three new clients and these are some of the best clients I have ever had.

ProZ.com is an essential tool for translators and interpreters. For me, it is a virtual work and marketplace. Forums, Powwows, conferences and group buys add a very beneficial social component without which many translators would feel very lost and alone in today's market.

This past year has been great. I woke up one morning deciding to go back to translating full time but I was not 100% sure that my decision was the right one. One thing is for sure, I have never regretted my membership: the forums contain a wealth of extremely useful information and colleagues are always willing to help with advice; the Blue Board has saved me from making bad business decisions on at least two occasions - saving me hundreds if not thousands of Euros and countless hours of lost time; both organizing and attending powwows has allowed me to meet some incredible people and build a strong network. Paying for membership is not only a way to gain access to all the site has to offer, for me it is also a way to support this community and encourage its development.

ProZ.com is absolutely great! - As a worldwide translators' network and community it combines everything a translator is longing for. It pushes your business while you are winning new friends and sharing language and translation related questions and experiences with people all over the world.

ProZ.com was my only way of being independent while waiting for working papers to come through (which they didn't in 3 years!)...After that, I just stick to it and I will remain to do so because it has since become my "workplace".

As an old song used to say, more or less, "Jeepers, creepers... where�d ya get them... 'ideas'"? These new features are simply fantastic and they work beautifully. My platinum membership is worth every dollar.
