Romanian to English: Statutul femeii în viziunea Bisericii din societatea românească din Transilvania din a doua jumătate a secolului al XIX-lea/Status of woman seen by the Church in the Romanian society of Transylvania from the second half of the XIX century.
Translation - English The condition of women in all societies, like most of day-to-day activities was shaped by religious ethics, since ancient times religion offered primordial values after which people guide by; the Clergy was the one who was performing the religious cult, representing the first authority within communities, being located at the top of the social hierarchy. The religious ethics were mastering the people through religious dogmas due to the institutialisation of it; throughout time it existed a tight collaboration between the Church and the State, secular laws being created in concordance with the predominant religious morals. Since the very beginnings of its existence, the Christian Church acted as a link between divinity and people, owned an important role in three key-moments of ones life: baptism, marriage and death. "Little by little its social role was amplified, searching to extend its authority regarding moral evolution and marital behaviour in the society" (A.C.Pinca, 2011: 73). Woman's status is reflecting in the matrimonial, religious and secular legislation.

Macabre Tableaus with the year’s best actors, taking classic characters in the horror genre.
Let’s say that this year things were normal, that we missed the news about hurricanes and earthquakes and wildfires, knew nothing about men sexually harassing actresses, Capitol Hill staffers, journalists and teenage Alabama girls, nothing about bombings and massacres and never-ending refugee crises, nothing about the creep toward nuclear war and the dangers of a warming planet, nothing of the lava flowing from our president’s Twitter account. What story would we come up with to explain why horror films grossed more than a billion dollars in 2017? Horror movies probably don’t need the world to be horrifying to be good. But when things are bad, the genre has a way of telling you they could be worse.
There’s a difference, of course, between being scared for fun and actually fearing for your life, your country, the future of humanity. But the thrill of horror movies has always been their grasp on collective nightmares. Horror is effective partly because it’s never new. We’ve always seen boogeymen in the movies. Now we’re seeing boogeymen at the office, in the government, at the comedy club, doing the news. Some of what drew us to the genre this year might have been the urge to have our worst fears realized and to see whether the movies could upstage reality by reflecting it. Their darkness was a respite from our own.

English to French: Temple building/La construction d’un temple
Source text - English Temple building
This week, Toronto architectural fabricators and manufacturers Soheil Mosun Ltd. started building the massive structure that will support the curved walls of a temple soon to be built near Santiago, Chile. The firm was retained by local architect Siamak Hariri to start transforming his designs for the South American headquarters of the Baha’i faith into an actual building.
The design has critics reaching for their most outlandish metaphors. They have compared it, by turns, to a soap bubble, a jellyfish, a lantern, an egg and, most swooning of all, “an enterable droplet of light.”
