I am a native Japanese speaker who has lived in the United States for over seven years. My background is in the ICT industry where I worked as an administrative assistant, assistant system engineer, designer and customer support specialist involved with planning, development, advertising, WEB programming and site administration as well as WEB design, eight years, and DTP design, nine years experience.

I have a broad range of experience and expertise in graphic design including a through familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Quark Express, Director, Flash, Fire Works, Font Works, Stream Line and Corel Draw in addition to any other general application such like Microsoft Office. Also working on any platform Unix (Linux), Windows or MacOS. I am confident and comfortable working with all forms of digital technology and I also do website design and desktop publishing upon request.

As a translator, I am comfortable translating in most fields and have extensive experience and a through knowledge of the technical vocabulary in computers, graphic design, IT, online commerce, engineering, medicine, general law, patent, animal husbandry, science, psychology, art and music.

My specialties are 1: any computer related translation including software manuals and localization, 2: translation of legal document such as contracts and
Patents in consultation with an American attorney.

I regularly employ SDL TRADOS ver.2007 in my translation work and I often collaborate with Ms. Kanako Fujiwara in Spain, a reliable translator with eleven years of experience, in order to assure the highest level of quality. In addition the time difference between the two continents provides us a degree of flexibility that enables us to handle complicated and or urgent projects.

My personal strengths are the ability to concentrate, persistence and willingness to learn; I believe that I can apply and utilize my knowledge and experience to any new field. I prefer working at a measured pace that can assure the highest quality, however, I have experience and am willing to take on urgent projects as well. I take pride in being responsible for my duties, executing my tasks promptly and accurately. I also take extra care to communicate clearly with clients.

I acquired most of my experiences through OJT, am a fast learner and I am confident that I can rapidly master the necessary skills and technical proficiency in any new field.
