yes/no? Nov 17, 2009

accroding to my girlfriend yes, for me NO.
I mean it is a normal routine, I just try to put a lot of activities, like teaching late in the evening... but maybe she's right, as the doctor told me yesterday... 24 hours a day, he said, INCLUDING sleeping and not PLUS sleeping

take care guys....

PS we can work on a regular basis, but we also know that we never can be sure about the future workload...

It goes in fits and starts Nov 17, 2009

Sometimes I am. Sometimes I wish I were because I need more work. Those are the ups and downs of the business.

Yes Nov 17, 2009

Usually and in the opinion of others, but only because I love what I do and am free to decide when to work my head off and when to take a real break...

Sometimes Nov 17, 2009

Sometimes when I have a lot of work to do I work twelve hour days, ten-minute lunch breaks, seven-day work weeks – I am my own worst enemy! Sometimes when I don’t have anything to do I just relax, take a weekend vacation and get away…

I wish Nov 17, 2009

I have had no work at all for the past ten days. This autumn so far has been disastrous for work - the worst it has been for five years.

Yes, but.... Nov 17, 2009

I am at the moment, but it's because I've got a large project on at the moment which will take me up until Christmas to complete. I am keen to keep accepting short jobs from regulars, so I've been working long days and weekends to keep up. I'm happy to do this in the short term, and am looking forward to a well-deserved 2 weeks of eating, sleeping and having fun over Christmas and New Year, with absolutely no feeling guilty for not working!

like many, according to some yes, accoring to others no. Nov 17, 2009

I have many years of experience as a travelling businessman, being practically on my own all the time. That way I got used to sleeping little and working long hours. Recently, I have had lots of large projects, which meant me working llloooooonnnnnggggg hours. Usually I get at 04:00 and get to bed at about 22:00. I am alone all day, (my wife works outside), so therefore, I do not have to fret about paying attention to others. I love my work, and I really enjoy all the time I spend on it.

Hoever, my wife, my doctor, my grandson, and many others think I am crazy.

Who knows, I fell happy, tired but happy.

Have a great day all of you.

Nigel.

Yes, and.... Nov 17, 2009

A month ago, one of my biggest wishes came true and we got us our very own Addams Family Pinball machine, something I have been dreaming about for the last 15 years.
Belive it or not, I have not played a single round of pinball yet. I just don't have the time. E.g. last weekend I worked both weekend days from around 8:30am until 9:00pm to get my stuff done.

Now that I am reading some of the posts, I think I am not going to complain at all and just leave the simple statement: Yes, I work too much, but I definitely prefer working too much to not working enough or not working at all.

I hope it gets better for those of you who are struggling - good luck and fingers crossed!

...be working hard. No orders at all at present.
When I have work, it is better than many other things. Especially when the work is over

No Nov 17, 2009

Sometimes I'm really busy, but I never feel as though I'm working too hard. If I did, I'd cut back a little. In fact, that's what I do when too many jobs come in...I turn them down. But most of the time the pace is just about right, at least for me.
