Hello all,

Does anyone know if there are any glossaries (particularly between English and French) of IFRS and IAS terminology? If so, where can I find them?

There are glossaries available but I think that they are not free. The best way to research this terminology for free I have found is by checking the terminology as enacted in EU legislation. You should be able to find every... See more

There are glossaries available but I think that they are not free. The best way to research this terminology for free I have found is by checking the terminology as enacted in EU legislation. You should be able to find everything you need here:

The first link is the FR version and the second is the EN version. With most EU texts, you can change the language code to be able to view it in another language (you just change the EN to FR or vice versa, which is a good trick for checking terminology).

So let's say you want to look up another Regulation or Directive that you've found in the text of this one, you just have to put the number in google (e.g. 243/2010 of 23 March 2010). This will give you the English version and then all you have to do is go to the browser address bar and change EN to FR to get the French version to compare it with.

Sometimes, if you get onto certain EU pages, you have a bilingual display and you can set the language accordingly. ▲ Collapse
