English to Italian: Donau LC Detailed field: Electronics / Elect Eng
Source text - English Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has launched the next generation of digital TV system-on-chip (SoC) products with a new device that features industry-leading levels of integration to further simplify and speed the implementation of STB (set top box), DTR (Digital TV Recorder) and IDTV (integrated digital television) designs.
The Toshiba ‘Donau-LC’ IC integrates a powerful graphics engine, audio decoding and processing functionality, demodulation circuitry, and all necessary interfaces and controllers into a single low-cost, 256-pin QFP package. The IC is available in two pin-compatible derivatives. One is capable of single tuner, single-stream SD (standard definition) operation, supporting in particular IDTV, while the other is available with a dual tuner and dual-stream option that supports PIP (picture in picture) output. Output capabilities include analogue video (CVBS, S-Video and RGB/YUV) and 4:2:2 video.
English to Italian: ChildBase
Source text - English ChildBase is an image data processing system designed to help law enforcement agencies fight crimes against children, particularly children depicted in child abuse imagery. The software provides functionality that relates to the following law enforcement processes:
• Criminal investigation;
• Data and image analysis;
• Legal case preparation.
ChildBase allows users to break down photographs and video images into a form that law enforcement professionals can analyse. This involves the indexing and storage of agiven image, and the decomposition and categorisation of the scene into a combination of victims, offenders, and objects. The software can check for uniqueness and consistency to create a set of data that law enforcement professionals can further analyse to assist with victim tracing, arresting offenders, and case preparation.
ChildBase also extends the use of Imagis’ biometric facial recognition technology to the identification of non-facial objects in background imagery and personally identifiable characteristics, such as scars, marks, or tattoos. The ability to identify a victim, offender, can play a key factor in preparing for and solving missing persons investigations.
• indagini sui reati;
• analisi di dati e immagini;
