A Greek native speaker spent my first 18 years in Greece. In 1996 I moved to the UK to get an Undergraduate Degree "MA in Political Economy" at the University of Aberdeen. Graduated in 2000 and moved back to Greece where I furthered my studies in the business field (2002-2004 at the University of Aegean) and obtained an "MBA Post-graduate Degree in Operational Management".
In 2005 I settled in Athens and worked for two years in the Film Industry. From 2007 to 2015 I was employed as a demand & inventory planner in the department of supply chain & international imports of the largest Greek FMCG Company. Translating had always been an additional task throughout my career (scenarios & scripts, business correspondence with overseas cinematographers, supply chain & logistics, business general and business-related correspondence)
Even though my studies may show that my preferences had always been different from the usual choices of a "translator to be", but I feel blessed that it naturally came to me as a new career path. No other job can be so diverse in terms of obtaining new knowledge every single day and keeping you active and in tune with the world.
The projects I work on include a variety of subjects, such as economics, EU-related materials, financial, business, software localisation, marketing /market research.
On December 2018 I also obtained a Certificate in Translation from “Metaφραση” School of Translation Studies.
