I have a passion for translating that has been with me since living in Germany, which I did for many years, gaining a C2 Diploma from the CIOL in Examinations in Languages for International Communication and a BSc with the Open University with German as one of my main subjects. I have since achieved a Postgraduate Diploma in Translation Studies DE-EN, which involved studying many specialist texts as well as subtitling, post-editing and quality control. I am currently studying for a level 3 Diploma in Human Anatomy and Physiology to further my medical specialisation and have a Professional Certificate in Business Management (also from the Open University). I am fast, reliable and enthusiastic about translating. Presently I work part time, to go full time in July 2019.

Over 20 years experience as a secretary, with a sound grounding in computer literacy and desktop publishing, PowerPoint, Excel and online databases.

My off-line interests are vary enormously. I like to walk in the countryside with my dog and am an avid gardener. I no longer keep bees, but maintain an interest in all things apiary and hive related. I have a flock of chickens which keep me busy at the weekends and at one time did breed small dogs.
