English to Tagalog: The Ship General field: Other Detailed field: Ships, Sailing, Maritime
Source text - English The ship is on the verge of sinking. That was the crew’s collective notion.
The waves that were hitting the hull for the past few days are still manageable. It can be said as gentle but everybody knows that it was momentarily, the situation will get worse anytime, a turbulent journey ahead would best describe it, nobody even dares to say that everything will go back to normal; the predictions are even unacceptable and downright downer.
In this time of uncertainty, who else they could turn to just to at least alleviate the worries and anxiety contaminating the air but only the captain. But the captain, to their disappointment, holds a vanquished face. The captain was aware of the approaching super typhoon’s strength and that instead of uplifting the crew’s spirits; the bested face contributed more to their temporary uneasiness.
Some, after realizing how hard the situation is for the captain; have managed to get back to their composed and resilient face. The overly positive attitude they possess which for a long time has contributed much for transforming a once humble canoe to a mighty, giant arrogant ship was still able to sneak a little comforting word - they are ready. Not only it connotes optimism, it also shows readiness for the worst case scenario looming in the ocean’s horizon.

Languages Build Creativity
Did you know?
Research has shown that learning languages can increase your ability to think creatively. Creative people may excel in music, writing, acting, or visual arts. But creativity can also extend to areas such as science, history, programming, and general problem solving. Thinking “outside the box” — coming up with inventive solutions to difficult questions — is a key aspect of creative thinking.
Yoyo
A yoyo is a spool-shaped toy that rolls up and down on a string. You tie the end of the string to your finger and make the yoyo fall and rise with your hand — maybe in complex ways, if you’re an expert. The word yoyo, probably from the Ilokano word yóyo, was first applied to the toy in the early 20th century, but the toy itself has been around for millennia. Ilokano is a language of the Philippines, closely related to Tagalog. Pedro Flores, a Filipino-American inventor, popularized the toy and trademarked the name “Yo-yo.”
Invent a game
Break into groups and invent a game that involves language learning. It might be a puzzle, a trivia game, or a board game — many possibilities! Have fun and think creatively.

Maaaring palaisipan, trivia game o isang board game – maraming posibilidad! Magsaya at mag-isip ng malikhain.
