BACKGROUND

I was born
in Japan and raised in Belgium and Switzerland, granting me native-level
proficiency in German and French. I studied in English until high school and
later pursued higher education in Japan and France, including study abroad
experiences in Korea, Argentina, and Hungary. Post-university, I joined a major
trading company, working extensively in several countries, which enhanced my
fluency in multiple languages. Having studied over 20 languages and teaching
Japanese in Korea and Taiwan, I've refined my linguistic capabilities. These experiences have shaped my career as a translator, where I now primarily
focus on eight languages but remain open to translating others as requested.

EXPERIENCE

Freelance Translator, 2016-Present:

I offer
translation services, including editing, proofreading, DTP, and language
testing. My specialties are medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biochemistry,
software, hardware, communications, IT marketing, general business,
automobiles, and fashion. I am also proficient in translating subtitles,
depending on the language. I am familiar with internationalization/localization
processes and the medical device/pharmaceutical industry. Since November 2015,
I have worked as an in-house linguist for J. MORITA MFG. CORP., managing
translations, editing, proofreading, localization projects, and terminology management. Additionally, I have translated analysis and prediction
documents for McKinsey and Ascential.
